Mr. Bergendahl is a Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Ascendiant Capital Markets LLC, a full-service investment banking, equity research, market making, and securities trading firm focused on public and private growth companies, and institutional and strategic investors.
Since establishing Ascendiant in 2001, Mr. Bergendahl has provided capital and strategic guidance to hundreds of emerging growth companies in the U.S. and selected foreign markets, and he has developed relationships with a large number of institutional and strategic investors.
Mr. Bergendahl has over twenty-five years of experience as a private investor, and in the development of early stage and high growth companies. He has managed a broad array of businesses from inception to growth and exit.
Prior to founding Ascendiant, Mr. Bergendahl, among other business endeavors, served as Founding Director and private investor in Odyssey Sports, Inc., a golf equipment company which developed the Odyssey putter that attained #1 market share in the world, and was later sold for $130 million cash to Callaway Golf (NYSE: ELY). He began his professional career in the corporate finance department of Oppenheimer & Company.
Mr. Bergendahl is a graduate of the Entrepreneurship Program at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles, California. He maintains FINRA Series 7, 24, 63, 79, and 99 securities registrations.
