Mr. Gooderum serves Ascendiant Capital Markets as a Managing Director in the firm's Investment Banking, Mergers & Acquisitions, and Advisory practice.

Mr. Gooderum has over 25 years of experience with international merger & acquisitions, capital markets, corporate finance, IPOs, infrastructure project finance and corporate management roles.  His functional management background includes corporate business development, strategic international joint ventures for Fortune 500 companies, family offices, high net worth investors,  private equity and institutional investors across multiple international industries including: branded food, retail, grocery, beverage, clothing, department store logistics, e-commerce retailing, autos, medical products, pharmaceuticals, industrial, oil/gas services, oil refining,  power plants, global utilities, CNG/LNG clean fleets, bio fuels, aerospace, defense, cyber security,  internet data centers, telecommunications, cable television, and other advanced technology.

 Mr. Gooderum has led corporate development and operations throughout 30 countries across North America, Europe,  Latin America, Africa and Asia.  He speaks Portuguese and Spanish, having concentrated investment and operations expertise in Brasil, Mexico, the Caribbean, Central and South America.

While at Morgan Stanley Smith Barney, he delivered structured business credit products for middle market businesses owners whose net worth exceeded $50 Million.   He was instrumental in financing and delivering over $3 Billion of infrastructure, retail logistics warehouse management Information technology solutions, commercial real estate and residential real estate while at Union Bank of California and Grubb and Ellis Investment Banking Services, Northrop Grumman, Teklogix International and other international distribution and manufacturing companies.
As President, GlobeNet Communications, his telecommunications company delivered to South America the first 1.28 terabyte of submarine fiber optic internet backbone connectivity based upon Alcatel DWDM technology.   This enabled the internet to empower the world’s largest international carriers, including Telefonica, ATT, France Telecom, Telecom Argentina, Telecom Italia, Deutsche Telecom, Embratel, Sprint, Intelig and Telemar Brasil, resulting in a $5 Billion simultaneous merger and IPO in 2001 with a Goldman Sachs sponsored IPO and simultaneous buyout.
Mr. Gooderum earned a Master's Degree in Business Administration from the Anderson School of Business at UCLA and a Bachelor of Science Degree also from UCLA (summa cum laude).   He also completed coursework for the MD/PhD program at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine.   He maintains FINRA Series 7 and 66 securities registrations, as well as a BRE California Broker license with membership in the California Association of Business Brokers.
