Ascendiant Capital Markets provides advisory services for Mergers & Acquisitions in both a sell-side and buy-side capacity.

The members of Ascendiant’s Investment Banking division average over twenty-five years of experience, and have successfully initiated, negotiated, and completed over 300 M&A transactions across a wide range of industry sectors.

Ascendiant’s senior-level Investment Bankers have expertise in negotiating complex deal structures, as well as working alongside legal and tax specialists, addressing key issues that often are as important as the selling price.  In addition, the members of Ascendiant’s Investment Banking team have held executive and operational roles within public and private companies, giving them valuable perspective and insight.

On the sell-side, Ascendiant generally specializes in the lower middle market, representing clients with revenues of $10 million to $200 million, ranging from small technology businesses with fewer than 50 employees to multi-national companies having more than 1,500 employees.   Types of clients served include service, distribution, and manufacturing businesses in a diverse number of industries.  With broad contacts among corporate strategic buyers and private equity groups, Ascendiant seeks to connect prospective sellers to the right buyers in a timely manner.  This enables the best fit between seller and buyer, while maximizing shareholder value.

On the buy-side, Ascendiant’s Investment Banking team is engaged by private equity firms, and by public and private companies interested in pursuing strategic acquisitions.  Ascendiant’s proactive, buy-side M&A program is designed to identify, screen, and qualify targets to select the acquisitions that represent the best strategic fit.   For public companies, in particular, having stock as a currency to offer prospective sellers can be a differentiating factor and can help accelerate growth through acquisitions.
